Find a Medical Buddy
Talk to someone who's been there.
If you're facing an operation, procedure or treatment, sometimes it helps to talk to someone who has already experienced something similar.
A Medical Buddy can listen, share their own experience and answer questions about what their experience was like.
They won't give you medical advice or tell you what you should do.
They're simply someone who's been there.
You Are Not Alone.
How It Works
1.
Tell us what you're facing
Complete the short form below and tell us what you'd like to talk about.
2.
We'll look for a suitable Buddy
We'll try to connect you with someone who has been through the same or a similar experience.
3.
We make the introduction
We'll explain how to make contact safely and what to expect.
4.
You talk
Ask questions, share your worries or simply talk to someone who understands.
What happens next?
Once we receive your request, we'll look to see whether we have a Medical Buddy whose experience may be relevant to you. We'll contact you before making an introduction. You are under no obligation to continue, and you can change your mind at any time.
You Are Not Alone
Sometimes the person who can reassure you most is simply someone who can say: “I've been there too.”
